Keel stores everything you enter — debts, payments, income, expenses, assets, goals — locally on your iPhone. There are no accounts and no cloud sync. We cannot see your data.
When you use insights, eight anonymous aggregate numbers are sent to our server: totalDebt, debtCount, weightedApr, monthlyIncome, monthlyExpenses, surplus, netWorth, healthScore. Nothing else — no names, notes, transactions, or free text. The server rejects any request containing other fields.
When you use the coach, in addition to the eight aggregate numbers above, the messages you type to the coach are sent to our server and processed by an AI provider. Please do not include personal details (names, addresses, account numbers) in your coach messages.
Requests carry a random UUID generated on your device, used only for daily rate limiting. It is not linked to you and identifies no personal information.
Keel contains no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs.
Deleting the app deletes your data. Rate-limit counters expire automatically within two days.
